Whether you are a freelancer, business owner, preacher, teacher or whatever profession or interest. I wish to unveil the time tested and proven success formula online. This method is why I’m writing this article right now. It was made popular by SiteSell.com way back in the 2000’s. I stumbled upon it one time while on my search for online success and tried it without their help. I did realize some results from it yet my downfall came from my lack of resilience.
Having started afresh in August 2022, I today have adopted the formula with higher determination because I know it is the real deal. Recently I saw one influencer from Uganda on TikTok recently, in January 2023, who seem to have realized that he is at an advanced stage with the formula and now has started monetizing his traffic. Today he has earned lots of dollars from using the C-T-P-M model.

Content
People are spoiled for content choice online yet they will want to stick to a few niche choices. Some niche will attract a wider number while another will be slim. It all depends on the choice of each individual person. This therefore means content can range from simple to complex yet the right market will respond. It then rests on the resilience of the content creator and how s/he responds to indicators of what the market want to get from them.
Once the market gets the tasty content they want, they keep looking for it and if you provide it, they keep coming back to your place for more. This could be content you create on social media, on your website, offline through magazines, audio files/podcasts, etc. Some content may seem stupid to many yet if it creates traffic, it is all that matters. That is why it is always said that ‘Content is King’.
The invent of social media has made content creating very easy, creating success for many who could have not even been noticed by the world. In the social media space you chose what you want to be known for and stick to it. If you do it well, you attract the right people for yourself. I cannot emphasize enough the need to be consistent in creating content. If you hold on long enough, you even get to a point where the effort you put into creating content is reduced to minimal levels.
Traffic
Content can be created in many ways. If you chose, you can pay for traffic, which is often quicker yet very unstable. You can also get traffic organically by creating tasty content for your content consumers. They will want to follow you and your work because they find your content tasty.
As you generate traffic, do note that traffic must be maintained if it has to give you some benefits. Even though it may be at a low rate but people do unsubscribe, cancel accounts and block content maker channels. Traffic is the lot from which you will get your money from. They are warm to your call because they have seen your work. It becomes easier to influence them that the cold visitor who sees your content for the first time.
Pre-Selling
I would personally ignore this stage and go to monetizing because traffic will the pre-selling if it is well structured. If people are happy and they have been guided on how to respond to your call when you feed them your content, they will end up in the monetizing stage by all means.
Monetizing
The options are vast yet choosing the right one matters. Later in the post I will list just a few common ones. Many people, and I’m afraid I’m one of them, leave money on the table without knowing it. Some even give up their work when they have reached a point where they could start making money out of their content. I currently have a website that attracts at least 5,000 visitors a month and haven’t monetized it yet except for asking for donations.
Think of it this way, if you are selling a product for $1, if your conversion rate is at 5 percent, then you are likely to make $5 each time your website traffic hits 5,000 visitors. There are a number of things that make customers convert and these include they type of product or service, delivery options, location of service, price, quality and many more.
Monetizing options include the following:
- Affiliate marketing. The best place to place your affiliate links and products is on pages with the highest traffic.
- Placing ads in your website. There are some companies, such as Google Adsense, that would offer you ads to place on your content and pay whenever a visitor clicks on the ads.
- Selling products and services. Hard or physical products can be shipped while soft products can be downloaded to customers hard drives.
- Sell the website. A high value website can be sold for a good price and then you can get started on a new one.
To the African freelancer
Having read up to this far gives me hope that you have a chance to be the small percentage of people that succeed online. You must start your CTPM journey knowing very well that it will take time, dedication, some sacrifice and patience to take it through. Just don’t give up because things online happen slowly.
Allow me to make an example of myself. I started this blog a in August 2022 but I’m looking at getting something out of this content at least in the next 24 months. If it happens earlier, then I would be a very lucky person. This attitude saves me the anxiety that comes with the lots of content out there where people claim to be making millions of dollars from their websites. I know they do but they could be using methods that I cannot afford or they have been in the space long enough.
